The eco - friendly Maylasian Oak frame has an antique finish and converts effortlessly by simply sliding the seat section forwards to allow the back to drop into the bed position.
Mattress quality is superb - using natural cotton, together with polyester and wool felt. This 7 layer mattress is proven to be more resilient and offering superior levels of comfort than traditional 8 or 9 layer models which just use wool flock as a cheap filling. Cover is non removeable, however an extra loose cover which simply zips over the mattress can be ordered with the futon set.

A note to those building one, the instructions do not differentiate between the "front slat" and "rear slat". The front slat has the brass fittings that face upwards. I guessed and got it wrong the first time meaning I had to rebuild it. An easy task though :)
Also beware of the stain and wood dust when fitting the screws and dragging it about. Got some stains on my brand new cream carpet! Luckily a good clean, and vanish at hand got it all out.
Overall very pleased, as I'm sure the guests will be. It looks good, and feels great!
